Scones

3 Cups of Flour
1 Cup softened or melted Butter or Margarine
1/2 Cup Milk
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
A splash of Vinegar

Preheat oven to 350°
Measure out Milk, and add a Splash of Vinegar in it, stir with a spoon, add 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda to the Milk / Vinegar mixture. Set aside for a moment. Melt / soften Butter. Place butter, Four, and Sugar in a bowl and give a quick stir. Stir in Milk mixture until everything comes together in dough form.
Scoop using a large cookie scoop or ice cream scoop onto a greased or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 15-30 minutes.
If you would like to to add fresh fruit, you can. After you are finished making the dough, mix in fruit. You can also add raisins or dried fruits. If you do that, at the begging of your process, soak the dried fruit in hot water while putting your ingredients together... drain the fruit, and add to dough. I like to sprinkle turbaneoid sugar on top of the scones before baking. Some people like to add icing instead after scones cool... some like no sugar or icing. It generally takes an extra 5 minutes of baking time if you add fruit.
Yield about 16 scones with fruit added.
