🎅 Rosetter 🇧🇻
❤ 100 g wheat flour
❤ 1 egg
❤ 1 ½ dl Whole Milk 3.5% fat
❤ 1 teaspoon melted Dairy Butter
❤ 1 tablespoon sugar
❤ 500 g lard for cooking
Here's how to do it 🎄
❤ 1 For this recipe you will need a rosette baking iron.
❤ 2 Mix everything for the batter and let it swell approx. 20 minutes.
❤ 3 Warm the lard. Dip the iron into the hot fat first and then into the batter.
Make sure that the batter does not come over the edge of the iron.
Keep the iron in the lard until the cakes are golden.
Carefully detach the cakes from the iron with a fork and let them drain on a greaseproof paper, such as a cloth from a paper towel.
❤ 4 Feel free to store rosette cakes in the freezer. They thaw quickly and can be placed straight from the freezer on a serving platter.
Serve with icing sugar or a little whipped cream with a little jam on.
❤ Tip
Dip a wooden stick into the pot to check if the lard is hot enough. If it bubbles around the stick, it is ready for cooking.
NB! Be careful when cooking in lard. It gets extremely hot and it's easy to burn!
