Ingredients
- 16 ounces white bark or white chocolate
- 3 cups chow mein noodles
- Green food coloring
- Holiday sprinkles optional
Instructions
- Line 2 half size cookie sheets with parchment paper, and set aside.
- Melt white almond bark in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until melted stirring in between.
- To the melted bark, add a few drops of food coloring and stir until you reach the desired color.
- Stir in chow mein noodles until they're well coated, then drop rounded spoonfuls on a lined baking sheet and decorate with sprinkles.
- Allow the cookies to set at room temperature for 2-3 hours or overnight to firm up.
Notes
- To speed up the hardening process, pop the treats in the fridge or freezer for half an hour or until they set completely.
- Store your haystack cookies in an airtight container for up to three days. You can keep them at room temperature, but if it’s warm in your home you might want to refrigerate them.
- You can also freeze haystacks in a freezer bag for 1-2 months.
