  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1 cup coconut oil melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract

Instructions

For Brownie Mix

  • Add dry ingredients, layer by layer, into a wide-mouth mason jar.
  • Tap down if ingredients aren't fitting into the jar, then seal with a lid.

For Brownies

  • Add brownie mix to a large bowl.
  • Crack eggs into a separate bowl, whisk well, then add to the brownie mix.
  • Add oil and vanilla bean paste and mix until combined.
  • Add batter to a greased 8x8 inch pan.
  • Bake at 350° F for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Notes

  • Make up as many jars of brownie mix at a time as you'd like. They'll store on the pantry shelf up to a year!
  • Mix up your brownies by adding in chocolate chips, walnuts, or even crushed peppermint candies.
  • For gooey brownies, don't overbake! Remove from the oven as soon as the toothpick comes out clean.
  • For firmer brownies, add a few minutes of bake time and allow to cool completely before slicing.
